Analyst, Sec Processing
About the role
Under direct supervision, an Analyst in Securities Processing is responsible for the review and processing of trade directives to various sub-custodians for settlement across all global markets. The analyst will communicate with internal and external partners to facilitate accurate and timely trade reflection, as well as resolve inquiries. This role supports teams across all Northern Trust locations and offers professional development opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of trade activity received from various sources.
- Provide support to internal partners by resolving trade inquiries to meet client needs.
- Work effectively both as a team member and independently.
- Communicate with external parties to review and resolve trade discrepancies for timely settlement.
- Troubleshoot and exhaust all resources before escalating to team members or management.
- Build relationships with internal partners to expand knowledge and resolve trade queries.
Requirements
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask.
- Customer service orientation.
- Industry knowledge of financial instruments preferred.
Qualifications
A college or university degree or relevant work experience is preferred.
