Analyst, Sales Operations - Onsite
Pay Rate: $40.00/hr. - $50.96/hr.
Start date: Beginning of September or earlier. Onsite location: California, San Jose. Hybrid schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday onsite, 8 AM–5 PM PST. Overtime possible but rare.
About the Role
Provides operational support to sales management. Plans and coordinates projects to improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the sales force. Develops processes and procedures to support the sales process and participates in the development of requirements for sales support systems. Maintains information on sales activities that support sales performance metrics and sales process improvement.
This is an individual contributor role that requires the use of judgment in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision. The role typically requires a university degree or an extensive amount of practical knowledge gained through experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) lifecycle, including quote creation, order fulfillment, billing, and revenue recognition.
- Ensure data integrity (customer master data, pricing, order management) in SAP and troubleshoot workflow issues impacting business operations.
- Support enhancements, data migration, and post-go-live stabilization efforts in SAP SD (Sales & Distribution) and MM (Material Management) modules.
- Administer Salesforce, including managing user permissions, creating custom fields and reports, and maintaining data hygiene.
- Manage data imports/exports, support go-live readiness, and validate data during system migrations.
- Handle routine tasks such as managing evaluation pools, collaborating with legal and finance for approvals, and tracking progress of sales documents.
- Process Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) and daily updating/tracking of orders.
- Manage internal orders through SAP and participate in quarterly projects addressing backlog or aging orders.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 or more years of relevant experience, with 3–5 years of practical experience managing the Quote-to-Cash lifecycle.
- Deep functional knowledge of SAP SD (Sales & Distribution) and MM (Material Management) modules, including standard transactions (e.g., MM01, XD01, VA01, VF01).
- Hands-on experience administering Salesforce, particularly in the Lightning UI and Sales Cloud environment.
- Proficiency in data tools such as Salesforce Data Loader; familiarity with Salesforce CPQ is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to review data, create pivot tables, and utilize VLOOKUP or similar functions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- High attention to detail and consistency when handling large datasets.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, cross-disciplinary teams.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA, IDocs, BAPIs, or integration mechanisms is highly valued.
- Understanding of compliance requirements related to master data and revenue recognition is a plus.
Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Preference for some college education, though not required.
- Quick learners may ramp up to full independence faster, but expect a few months to work 100% independently.
