About the role

The Advanced Technology Strategic Business Unit Team has an opportunity for a procurement role in a highly dynamic and collaborative environment. You will manage supplier performance and the entire purchase order life cycle—including supplier development, requirement solicitations, Purchase Order award, and post-award management—for DoD, FMS, and DCS customers within the procurement team. Advanced Technology is at the forefront of the latest developments in technology, including advanced radars, hypersonics, and missile defense.

In this role, you will support development programs in early stages such as R&D, proposal captures, engineering manufacturing and development, and low-rate production. You will place and manage orders for a wide range of products, collaborating with Program and functional groups (Operations, Quality, Engineering, etc.) to achieve objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and issuance of Request for Quotations/Proposals
  • Placement and maintenance of purchase orders and associated change orders
  • Perform price analysis, negotiate price, delivery, scope, and terms & conditions
  • Manage day-to-day purchasing activities to ensure timely delivery of materials, goods, and services
  • Prepare POs and PO documentation in accordance with company directives, prime contract flow-downs, and work instructions
  • Post-award management of POs in compliance with company directives and work instructions
  • Issue and conflict resolution of medium/high complexity in accordance with FAR/DFAR and corporate compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with Program and functional groups (Operations, Quality, Engineering, etc.) to achieve objectives
  • Research products, suppliers, and material selections
  • Track supplier proposal status and compliance to Raytheon RFPs
  • Support program proposal teams and centralized quoting team in support of Raytheon proposals

Requirements

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience in supply chain and related systems (procurement, production control, materials management, planning, or operations)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge and compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS)
  • Experience leading formal negotiations (price, schedule, supplier exceptions to contractual flow-down requirements, and standard Terms and Conditions)
  • Experience with supplier performance management
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, and complex Statements of Work (SOWs)
  • Knowledge of EXIM procurements and related rules and regulations
  • Experience with import/export regulations (ITAR/EAR)
  • Strong creative problem-solving and collaboration skills

Pay

The salary range for this role is $57,200 – $108,800 USD. The range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
