Role And Responsibilities

Interpret production data of solar equipment to ensure optimal generation of assets
Manage the day-to-day operations of assets to achieve key performance, availability, and financial targets
Manage third party O&M providers and ensure corrective maintenance operations are evaluated & completed
Provide and present daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to internal management and strategic investors to review overall performance and strategic initiatives
Formulate and oversee the spare parts strategy across the fleet to ensure availability of parts while optimizing for financial cost of purchasing, storing, and shipping
Monitor operational performance reports; investigate major plant outages and influence resolution to minimize outages and support insurance claims
Interface with the origination, development, project finance, and operations groups with feedback on best practices and lessons learned through operations
Perform project evaluations and audits to make recommendations in support of plant optimization, performance improvement, warranty claims, and revenue recovery
Lead major projects for Asset Management-owned properties include equipment retrofits, multi-site warranty claims, manufacturer initiatives, data sanitization, and historic documentation management
Manage delivery of O&M Agreements, contracting RFPs and bilateral documentation at project closing milestones
Occasional travel to project sites and development sites as needed

Required Skills/Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Business, or another related major
  • 1-2 years of experience in renewable energy, asset management, construction, real estate, property management, project development, contract administration, or a related commercial field
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to succinctly summarize complex financial and technical issues, both in writing and verbally
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage workflows across teams, handle conflicting deadlines and multiple tasks while maintaining flexibility, attention to detail, and a positive attitude
  • Advanced computer skills including PowerPoint, Word, and especially Excel
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a desire to contribute meaningfully in a fast-paced company environment
  • Understanding of PV systems, design, operation, management, and financing (a plus)
  • Experience with distributed generation regulated market programs and compliance (a plus)
