We are seeking a passionate and highly motivated Trial Parts Ordering Analyst to join our New Model Projects Department. This role involves managing and coordinating trial parts supply for new model launches, ensuring timely availability of required materials.

About the Role

The primary responsibility of this role is to lead and coordinate TMMMS activities related to new model launch, focusing on trial parts ordering. The position reports to the Manager of New Model Projects and supports the team's objectives to ensure production trial parts are available when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage New Model Function: Parts Supply Management for all New Model Trials including survey, order, logistics, delivery, and accounting of materials.
  • Daily interaction with multiple internal production departments and overall coordination of New Model Trial Parts for TMMMS.
  • Order tracking to ensure zero flow out conditions at TMMMS (working directly with suppliers and LPs to coordinate expedite shipments).
  • Evaluate the best recovery methods for parts shortages.
  • Apply part number change points to Trial Parts Orders to minimize costs.
  • Manage projects: Lead Kaizen for areas of responsibility within Trial Parts Ordering, manage warehouse operations, liaise with external groups, manage part buildout and startup at model changes, revise, cancel, create all Trial Parts Purchase Orders, reconcile invoices, procure and manage freight expedites, resolve part shortages through expedites, and manage processes.
  • Resolve ordering issues related to parts calculations, scrap, and production swings.
  • Resolve problems: Work with suppliers, logistics providers, and shops to resolve trial parts issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science/Arts degree.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of systems management (MSRS, SAP, etc).
  • Intermediate level proficiency of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT, etc).
  • Demonstrated ability of budget management, purchase order creation, requisitions, and invoice reconciliation.
  • Two years in Production Control.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with vendors/suppliers.
  • Ability to work different shifts/weekends as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree.
  • Knowledge of TPS tools.
  • Logistics experience.
  • High level of competence with MS Office operating systems.
  • Toyota Co-op Experience.
