Analyst- New Model Trial Parts Ordering

About the role

The New Model Projects Department at Toyota Manufacturing is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Trial Parts Ordering Analyst. This role is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of trial parts supply for new model launches, including order tracking, logistics, and recovery methods.

Responsibilities

  • Manage New Model Function: Parts Supply Management for all New Model Trials
  • Coordinate daily interactions with internal production departments
  • Ensure zero flow out conditions at TMMMS through direct coordination with suppliers and logistics providers
  • Evaluate and implement best recovery methods for parts shortages
  • Lead Kaizen initiatives within Trial Parts Ordering
  • Liaison for TMMMS Trial Parts Ordering with external groups such as TMNA, TMC, suppliers, etc.
  • Manage part buildout and startup at model change
  • Revise, cancel, create all Trial Parts Purchase Orders
  • Reconcile all invoices from suppliers to orders
  • Procure and manage freight expedites to meet New Model Trials
  • Resolve part shortages through expedites to achieve shop requests
  • Resolve ordering issues related to parts calculations, scrap, and production swings
  • Work with suppliers, logistics providers, and shops to resolve Trial Parts issues
  • Maintain flexibility to manage the unknown, new projects, and crisis situations

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science/Arts
  • Demonstrated knowledge of systems management (MSRS, SAP, etc)
  • Intermediate level proficiency of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PPT, etc)
  • Demonstrated ability of budget management, purchase order creation, requisitions, and invoice reconciliation
  • 2 years in Production Control
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with vendors/suppliers
  • Ability to work different shifts / weekends as required

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree (a plus)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of TPS tools
  • Logistics experience
  • High level of competence with MS Office operating systems
  • Toyota Co-op Experience (a plus)

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
