Analyst, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning

We are seeking an Analyst passionate about social justice to support Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL) across the organization. The MEAL Analyst partners with program teams to design, facilitate, and improve monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning processes, helping teams make sense of complex social change work and use evidence to inform strategy and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Provide MEAL support throughout the project lifecycle, including project design, theory of change development, learning agenda creation, indicator design, reflection processes, and adaptive learning.
• Facilitate collaborative learning and sense-making processes across departments, teams, and community partners.
• Support the co-creation of relational accountability practices that center community perspectives and lived experiences.
• Design and facilitate planning, strategy, and learning sessions to help teams clarify goals, articulate assumptions, develop theories of change, identify indicators, and reflect on progress.
• Contribute to the development of frameworks, tools, guidance documents, templates, and learning resources to strengthen organizational MEAL capacity.
• Synthesize information from multiple sources—qualitative insights, quantitative data, community feedback, and program documentation—to identify patterns and support strategic decision-making.
• Perform other duties as required within the scope of the role.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of monitoring, evaluation, and accountability experience supporting programs with data-based decision-making.
• Experience working directly in communities in at least one of SPLC's focus states.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Sociology, Measurement & Evaluation, Social Work, Education, Public Policy, or a related field.

Pay

This is an exempt role with a minimum starting salary of $78,832 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

This role offers the following work designations:

• Local Remote: Work remotely but attend work-related activities at SPLC offices or in states where SPLC operates.
• Telework: Work at an SPLC office at least three days per week, with the option to work remotely two days per week.

This position reports to the Director of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning.
