Analyst, Long and Short Distance Transportation
Job Description
The Analyst, Long and Short Distance Transportation is responsible for tracking load movements across North America for Sleeper Teams, Carrier Direct, and DirectShip transportation networks. Transports goods over long and short distances via tractor trailer. Maintains compliance with regulatory requirements. Provides outstanding customer service. May manage a group of tractor trailer drivers, and be responsible for maintaining and improving safety, service, and performance elements. Oversees day-to-day customer needs while managing the specifics of a CDL-licensed driver fleet. Coordinates with internal stakeholder teams to address contingencies. Manages (typically) experienced drivers tasked with meeting and maintaining complex requirements for operating a tractor trailer vehicle. Uses established processes and technologies to plan, monitor and report on daily activities. Develops and executes plans to ensure business imperatives are met. Provides specific functional expertise that is theoretical and conceptual in nature.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of the UPS Air and Ground Networks and knowledge of SLIC numbers used by UPS to identify locations
- Able to work under stressful situations while maintaining good communication and problem-solving skills
- No attendance concerns

- Job Grade: 10
- Must currently reside in the same geographic location as the job or be willing to relocate promptly
- Shift: Tuesday - Saturday 15:00 - 23:30 / Flexible Hours
