CHCQ is responsible for ensuring health care facilities comply with state laws and regulations. In addition, CHCQ cooperates with CMS to ensure that facilities accepting Medicare and Medi-Cal (in California, Medicaid is referred to as Medi-Cal) payments meet federal requirements. Maintains consistency by performing technical analytical reviews of data and supporting accurate application of regulatory requirements. Conducts research and develops responses to complex policy questions. Serves as a point of contact for field office questions regarding regulatory interpretation.
