About the role

This position may be filled as an Analyst I, II, or III depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience. The role is based in Jefferson, Louisiana, and supports Louisiana Regulatory Affairs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop analysis in support of regulatory filings and discovery responses.
  • Interface routinely with internal organizations, including finance and accounting, to gather and analyze information for regulatory filings.
  • Draft and review testimony and company comments in LPSC rulemakings and proceedings.
  • Draft and review responses to discovery for LPSC regulatory proceedings.
  • Support regulatory outreach efforts.
  • Be available to work additional hours, alternate locations, and perform additional duties during storms, outages, emergencies, or other situations as deemed necessary by the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in accounting, economics, engineering, finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree is desired.
  • Experience requirements:
    • Analyst I: 0 years of experience.
    • Analyst II: 1-3 years of relevant experience.
    • Analyst III: 4-6 years of experience in various functional areas within the electric utility industry.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex subjects clearly to non-experts in the regulatory arena.
  • Professional writing sample required with application.
  • Self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
  • Ability to develop detailed spreadsheets, perform in-depth analysis, and summarize findings for actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize work effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team setting.
  • Willingness to learn new processes and technologies and perform other duties as required.
  • Knowledge of the electric utility business and regulatory processes, including cost-of-service, rate design, system dispatch, generation planning, and regulatory accounting, is desirable.
  • Advanced PC skills using Microsoft Office and other mainframe business applications.
  • Authorization to work in the United States (Entergy will not sponsor work visas for this position).

Travel

Travel up to 25% may be required.
