Responsibilities
- Independently perform daily sample enrollment and documentation activities, including adding new donations into study databases and charting Index testing results in accordance with established research protocols.
- Review laboratory notifications, applying scientific judgment to determine required sample actions and ensure timely follow-up consistent with study requirements.
- Organize and prepare charting lists, shipping forms, and test result packets to support accurate study documentation.
- Enter and validate laboratory test results and received dates, reconciling missing, pending, or inconsistent data through coordination with laboratory partners.
- Generate routine research reports (Test Result Summary Report (TRSR)/reentry), update tracking tools, and prepare cases for secondary review.
- Communicate delays, missing results, and reactive or positive findings; troubleshoot routine database or documentation issues within defined guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in biology, immunology, microbiology, or a related scientific field, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- 1 year of related experience required.
- Attention to detail and ability to work on a team.
This is an on-site position at our facility located at 15601 Crabbs Branch Way, Rockville, MD.
Physical Requirements
- Physical requirements are those present in normal office environment conditions.
- Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs.
- Ability to use a personal computer, applicable software, and office equipment for sustained periods of time.
