About the role
The Fiscal Policy and Analysis Bureau within the California Department of Social Services seeks an Analyst I or Analyst II to join the Allocations Section. This section establishes and maintains allocation methodologies for County Welfare Departments and Probation Departments, and reviews administrative expenditures.
Responsibilities
- Develop allocation formulas using Departmental data sources
- Analyze legislation and prepare County Fiscal Letters
- Prepare spreadsheets and word documents for analysis and release of county allocations
- Work under limited time frames associated with the statutory budget cycle and budget subvention process
Requirements
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Qualifications
Highly motivated individuals with strong math and analytical skills are encouraged to apply.
