About the role
The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) Headquarters has implemented a new automated system, the Human Resources Technology System (HRTS), to streamline the hiring process. This system provides applicants with real-time updates and allows them to track their application progress.
Responsibilities
- Set up an account in HRTS to track application progress and provide additional information as needed.
- Ensure a valid email address is provided on the application.
- Work in the Office of Labor Relations (OLR) at CDCR Headquarters in Rancho Cordova, Sacramento County.
- Participate in labor relations activities and assist with employee grievances and complaints.
- Manage cooperative working relationships within the department and with external agencies.
- Support the implementation of rehabilitation programs and ensure staff compliance with department policies.
Requirements
The position requires a bachelor's degree and one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must reside in California upon appointment and be regularly available to work the required hours.

Skills
Strong communication skills, knowledge of labor relations, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with the Human Resources Technology System (HRTS) is desirable.

Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $3,861.00 - $6,464.00 per month, depending on qualifications.
