About the role

Hamilton Lane, a global leader in private markets, is seeking recent college graduates to join our Fund Investment & Managed Solutions (FIMS) team. This prestigious two-year analyst program offers the opportunity to develop career skills, receive mentoring, and be coached by industry leaders. Successful candidates are intellectually curious, analytical, creative thinkers who thrive in a team-based environment and are exceptional communicators.

The FIMS team identifies and reviews private equity and private credit fund managers, working with our global client base to build and manage private markets portfolios. Team members conduct investment due diligence, screen new opportunities, contribute to research reports, prepare client deliverables, and support client servicing. Analysts gain exposure to top private sponsors and work alongside leading institutional investors worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Perform initial review and formulate recommendations for private equity and private credit fund opportunities globally.
  • Meet fund managers and conduct in-depth due diligence to arrive at final recommendations.
  • Monitor portfolios and generate written reports on current fund investments through update meetings, quarterly calls, and annual meetings.
  • Maintain working knowledge of assigned client portfolios and their investments.
  • Assist in client portfolio development, including running pacing models, allocation decisions, strategic plans, and quarterly reports.
  • Respond to ad hoc prospect and client questions and special requests.
  • Develop expertise in emerging company technologies and leverage AI tools to enhance project execution and efficiency.

First-year analysts focus on skill development and initial recommendations. Second-year analysts assume greater ownership, participate in deal team discussions, oversee training of first-year analysts, and may introduce broader firm initiatives. Strong performers may be considered for longer-term careers with potential Associate promotions.

Requirements

  • Recent college graduate with a 3.0 or higher overall GPA.
  • Strong analytical talent and keen interest in investments.
  • English fluency; additional languages are a plus.
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

We value candidates who have demonstrated on-campus leadership (clubs, sports, community service), success in professional internships, and additional language skills.

Benefits

  • Enhancing Your Physical and Emotional Health: Healthcare coverage, mental health resources, health & fitness reimbursement, and Wellness Rewards Program.
  • Developing Your Career: Tuition and certification reimbursement, continual education and development trainings.
  • Supporting Your Family & Community: Paid time off for volunteering, adoption reimbursement, paid parental leave, and travel support for nursing parents.
  • Safeguarding Your Financial Wellbeing: Retirement program contributions and employee stock purchasing plan.
