Analyst – Final Mile Delivery

RONA is seeking an Analyst – Final Mile Delivery to join our dynamic team in Milton, Ontario. This role plays a pivotal role in optimizing logistics flow within our supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Analyze shipping estimates vs. actual costs and supply reporting to stakeholders to allow for informed decisions
• Perform analyses on problems and/or anomalies reported by operational teams, propose solutions, make corrections, if necessary, or solicit input from appropriate support groups
• Act as a subject matter expert and resource person at head office for the company's support functions
• Drive compliance with Final Mile carriers through analysis of actual spend to facilitate cost recovery. Identify vendors through reporting that are non-compliant to process flows
• Supply analytics on claim history to drive improved process flows, cost efficiency and customer experience
• Manage logistical decision-making activities requiring the buy-in of contributors from multiple business lines. Collaborate with external stakeholders to drive cost-effective solutions on reverse logistics
• Develop, implement, maintain, evolve and configure tools to support analysis and decision-making for logistics flow rules
• Support initiatives to optimize supply chain operational efficiency, speed to market and customer experience
• Participate in the documentation and mapping of key processes, as well as the development of diagrams of decision-making processes at the level of logistics flows
• Build relationships and collaborate with multiple teams and experts across locations and departments, including Supply chain, Merchandising and external carrier partners
• Produce ad-hoc analysis and reports for management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain), Engineering or related field
• At least 3 years of progressively responsible role experience in the distribution, logistics or transportation industries is required
• Experience in the retail sector, with a large national distributor or a transport/logistics service provider with LTL or Big+ bulky final mile experience
• Critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills; Proactive approach and willingness to challenge existing processes and propose new solutions
• Sense of organization and rigour; Proven track record of performing tasks efficiently, on time and under pressure, as well as effectively managing priorities in a rapidly changing environment
• Demonstrated ability to work with teams at all levels of the organization and across a variety of functions in a complex environment
• Communication skills; Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels of the organization and with all business units to persuade and lead others during difficult situations

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is between $62,000 and $82,000 per year.
