Analyst Data Reporting (Hybrid) - Medical School Finacial Reporting, Workday
About the role
This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting Workday Financial and Human Resources reports for the Medical School Finance office. The role primarily supports the Medical School Finance office, which will assist WUSM department users, by providing reporting solutions that enhance planning, historical analysis, and data-driven decision-making. In addition, this position assists with monthly data extracts and reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency between Workday reporting outputs and the data lake.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Workday report writing.
- Data lake loading/balancing.
- Completes monthly reports for, Business Office, physicians, and managers.
- Establishes user reports for data frequently requested.
- Affords assistance to department in meeting information needs through standards reports and queries.
- Provides data and participates in the annual budget process and strategic planning process.
- Analyzes volume trends and prepares forecasts for department leadership, JOSP, and affiliated hospitals for future planning purposes.
- Provides timely and accurate ad hoc reports for Business Office, Chairman, Business Office, physicians, and managers.
- Works closely with customers to meet current reporting needs and develop reports based on the needs of the department.
- Serves as department’s Reporting super user for EPIC.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
- One year of experience with business report writing and Business Intelligence (BI) Tools (Workday FIN and HCM reports in a Workday tenant).
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or computer science or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
- Experience primarily with the core Workday report writing tool, but also some exposure to Workday Worksheets and Discovery Boards will be helpful.
- Work experience in a medical or non-profit environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Workday Pro Financial Reporting Certification (already attained or attain during employment).
Salary Range
$58,400.00 - $99,700.00 / Annually
