About the role
The Research Data Analyst III - Medicine - Hybrid position is a part-time 50% position within the MASLD Research Center in the Department of Medicine at UC San Diego. This position works a hybrid schedule combining onsite in La Jolla and remote work.
Responsibilities
- Uses multiple statistical software packages to identify outliers and anomalies in data.
- Writes and debugs code using statistical software packages such as R, SAS, and STATA.
- Designs, maintains, and documents procedures, including methods and summary/conclusions.
- Interfaces between biostatisticians and data used for analyses.
- Executes a wide range of statistical analyses including multi-variable, mathematical modeling, power and sample size calculations, mixed effect modeling of longitudinal data, and non-parametric statistics.
- Develops, plans, and executes statistical analyses related to MASLD Research Center.
Requirements
- Seven years of related experience, education/training, or a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus three years of related experience/training.
- Thorough knowledge of research function.
- Thorough skills associated with statistical analysis and systems programming.
- Skills to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing.
- Skills in project management.
- Research skills to evaluate alternate solutions and develop recommendations.
- In-depth knowledge of REDCap and proficiency in REDCap management.
- Proficiency in data project management.
Preferred Qualifications
- MS or PhD in statistics.
