Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or engineering in: Industrial Engineering, Industrial Safety, Statistics, Data Science, Systems, or Informatics.
  • Desirable specialization, diploma, or certification in:
    • Data Analysis / Business Intelligence (BI)
    • Data Analytics (Power BI, SQL, Python, etc.)

Experience

  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in roles related to Data Analysis, Business Intelligence (BI), and Reporting and KPI management.
  • Management and analysis of databases (advanced Excel, SQL, or others).
  • Development of dashboards and reports (Power BI or other tools).
  • Interpretation of performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Experience with artificial intelligence tools.
  • Desirable experience in:
    • Industrial, logistics, or high-risk environments.
    • Occupational Safety and Health processes.
    • Incident analysis and safety trend analysis.
    • Management systems (ISO 45001 or other safety standards).
  • Knowledge of IT, platform management, and software.

Skills

  • Fluency in Spanish and English highly considered.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, Power Query, macros desirable).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI or other BI platforms).
  • Knowledge of data query languages (SQL).
  • Experience in database modeling and management.
  • Ability for data cleaning, transformation, and validation (data wrangling).
  • Knowledge of applied statistics for trend and correlation analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, consolidate, and validate data related to occupational safety and health from different sources.
  • Automate reporting processes and optimize information flows.
  • Analyze information from the safety management system.
  • Develop, update, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Design and automate interactive dashboards and periodic reports for management and operational areas.
  • Identify trends, risk patterns, and improvement opportunities through data analysis.
  • Ensure the quality, integrity, and consistency of information used for decision-making.
  • Support compliance with standards and management systems (e.g., ISO 45001).
  • Collaborate with operations and Industrial Safety teams to translate operational needs into analytical solutions.
  • Promote a culture of safety.
  • Support the organizational culture of FQM (Bolder, Driven, Smarter, Together) and actively promote its application in occupational safety and health activities.
  • Ensure staff are trained and committed to the safety culture.
