Responsibilities

• Support the development, design, and implementation of planning concepts and projects for the Container Management Function.
• Assist suppliers with processes such as transportation, infrastructure, packaging, scheduling, and equipment to ensure a reliable supply chain of empties.
• Schedule empties (pallets, containers, transport frames, etc.) and track delivery backlogs.
• Identify potential risks in the supply chain and align cross-departmental countermeasures as part of bottleneck control, including checking transport container inventory.
• Identify, process, and maintain data for transport container inventory management, handle complaints, and initiate inventories.
• Establish ongoing, constructive, and cooperative communication with suppliers.
• Steer empty containers in the loop between the Scout plant and supplier plants to ensure adequate container supply.
• Assume special tasks aligned with the skills and duties of the role.
• Collaborate responsibly with supervisors, employees, and affected departments in compliance with guidelines, standards, and regulations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience in logistics or a production environment in the automotive industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. An equivalent amount of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Proven experience in scheduling or pre-series logistics is an advantage.
• Proven experience in the digitalization of processes is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage complexity.
• Collaborative team-player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work at all hierarchical levels of the company.
• Understanding of production environments and affinity for working with complex IT systems.
• Integrity, curiosity, resourcefulness, and a growth mindset.
• Comfort with change and flexibility in a high-growth environment.

Location & Travel Expectations

This role is based at the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina, and requires 4-5 days per week in the office. Regular in-person meetings and events are part of the role, and applicants should expect occasional travel to participate in company events.

Pay

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible for a base salary and participation in an annual performance bonus program. The final salary will be determined based on skills and experience. The initial base salary range is $70,000.00 - $85,000.00.
