About the role

The Analyst: Compliance will support and drive environmental compliance programs for Park City Mountain and Grand Teton Lodge Company, with responsibility for implementing enterprise environmental compliance program requirements, strengthening environmental compliance program execution, and helping ensure EHS compliance across resort, lodging, mountain operations, capital projects, and other business functions.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the Environmental Compliance programs at Park City Mountain Resort and GTLC including enterprise-wide oil pollution prevention, hazardous materials management, hazardous and universal waste management, air pollution control, water quality programs, drinking water program, dam management program, noxious weed management program
  • Support implementation of enterprise environmental compliance programs in CO, UT, and WY (priority) and other regions covered by the Environmental Compliance function (as needed)
  • Lead or coordinate state and local environmental permitting for strategic development projects at Park City Mountain, including projects associated with the 2034 Olympic Winter Games, new lift development, Canyons Village improvements, snowmaking enhancements, terrain modifications, and other strategic capital investments
  • Review capital project scopes for potential environmental impacts, including ground disturbance, work near water or wetlands, stormwater discharges, wastewater impacts, air emissions, vegetation removal, hazardous materials changes, construction staging, and other environmental considerations
  • Apply GIS tools and spatial data to support environmental planning, project review, natural resource constraint identification, permit tracking, inspection planning, stormwater and drainage management, spill response planning, and field communication
  • Develop enterprise-wide environmental compliance training materials
  • Perform weekly environmental compliance walkthroughs at Park City Mountain Resort
  • Perform annual environmental compliance walkthrough at GTLC
  • Lead the annual National Park Service environmental audit at GTLC
  • Lead implementation of EHS management software including permit documentation management, creation and maintenance of compliance tasks/scenarios, equipment and materials inventory data management, and development of compliance reports for Park City and GTLC
  • Liaise with local and regional leadership, mountain operations, hospitality and VRR, and field EHS to monitor compliance risks
  • Proactively work with business partners to understand business challenges and opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Health and Safety, Natural Resources, Geography, GIS, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 to 5 years of experience supporting environmental compliance, environmental permitting, project coordination, regulatory programs, or related work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Hands-on technical experience with environmental programs, policies, permits, inspections, reporting, or compliance documentation
  • Geographic Information System experience required, including ArcGIS, QGIS, or equivalent GIS platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive work forward with limited supervision
  • Strong learning agility and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment, evolving team structure, and changing business needs
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical environmental requirements clearly to business partners, Field EHS partners, project teams, and leadership
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Field EHS partners, resort leadership, project teams, consultants, and regulatory agencies
  • Ability to manage upward by proactively identifying issues, communicating risks, recommending solutions, and keeping leaders informed of key priorities and decisions
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve issues independently, with a strong sense of accountability, sound judgment, and practical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with senior-level management and cross-functional leaders
  • Competent ski and/or snowboard ability required to safely access mountain terrain and field locations as needed
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to travel required, including travel between Park City Mountain, Grand Teton Lodge Company, and other business locations as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting environmental permitting for construction, infrastructure, lift development, snowmaking, water, wastewater, stormwater, land development, or resort-related projects
  • EHS background preferred, particularly experience working in an integrated safety, environmental, or field-based compliance model
  • Experience with state or local environmental permitting processes in Utah, Wyoming, or similar western mountain environments
  • Experience using enterprise environmental management systems, compliance calendars, inspection platforms, incident reporting tools, or environmental data management systems
  • Experience working with mountain resort operations, public lands, National Park Service, Forest Service, hospitality, outdoor recreation, construction, or similar field-based environments
