Analyst, Cargo Revenue Accounting

This role is part of the Finance team within our Finance group, focusing on data analysis, reporting, and supporting cargo revenue accounting and corporate projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage revenue and receivables for all postal administration accounts, including invoicing, payment application, and discrepancy resolution.
• Maintain heavy contact with postal customers.
• Conduct weekly audits of AA’s cargo billing portal.
• Reconcile and apply payments received via 3 lockboxes that are not automatically applied.
• Research and analyze overpayment claims for customers paying by credit card.
• Identify, analyze, and capture revenue not captured through normal channels.
• Report, track, and manage system defects related to the iCargo system.
• Serve as a backup to L3/L4 Analyst.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous accounting/finance experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.
• Strong data mining skills and proficiency in Microsoft Access and/or other database systems.
• Strong PC skills, including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills.
• Aptitude for problem-solving with strong analytical and accounting skills.
• Ability to logically structure analysis of complex issues and develop creative solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience/training.
• Knowledge of Mosaic, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Experience with the iCargo system.
