Analyst

Our client is a well-established, highly profitable $300 million+ privately held apparel wholesaler in NYC, currently expanding through acquisitions and adding impressive brands to their portfolio. This is a newly created, permanent full-time role with full benefits, offering 3–4 days onsite in Midtown.

About the role

This position blends financial analysis and accounting, with a stronger emphasis on analysis. The Controller is open to candidates from wholesale apparel, shoes, or accessories backgrounds—either an analyst comfortable with some accounting or an accountant with finance exposure.

Responsibilities

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Prepare reports and analyses related to revenue, receivables, and cash flow.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Review and prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy.

The company manages 12 product lines across 100+ divisions.

Requirements

• Minimum BA/BS in Finance or Accounting from a top accredited school.
• 1+ years of experience in the product-based sector, ideally wholesale/apparel/accessories.
• Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative, dynamic personality.

Pay

Base salary: $70,000–$80,000 plus a discretionary bonus.
