About the role
Sony Music Entertainment is a member of the Sony family of global companies. The Analyst, A&R Administration supports artist recording projects by providing operational support, handling vendor setups, processing invoices, preparing agreements, and maintaining records.
Responsibilities
- Support A&R Administration on all department needs.
- Handle all vendor set ups including verification and accounts.
- Process all purchase orders, invoices, maintaining meticulous records for audit purposes.
- Prepare producer deals, work for hires, remix agreements, and union contracts (AFM and SAG-AFTRA).
- Scan all relevant documents into Digital filing system.
- Assist with Royalty inquiries – externally and internally.
- Assist in the preparation of Financial project reports for Label Roster.
- Maintain and organize departmental records, including budgets, contracts, and correspondence as well as maintain central drive of all records.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in music administration, finance, or legal, preferably within a record label, business management or entertainment company.
- Strong understanding of financial processes and basic knowledge of music industry contracts.
- Proficiency in proprietary systems and strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience with music industry contracts and agreements.
- Knowledge of music industry financial processes.
- Experience with digital document management systems.
- Experience with royalty tracking and reporting.
Skills
- Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of music industry contracts and financial processes.

Pay
The pay range for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 annually.

This role is full-time.
