About the role

Sony Music Entertainment is a member of the Sony family of global companies. The Analyst, A&R Administration supports artist recording projects by providing operational support, handling vendor setups, processing invoices, preparing agreements, and maintaining records.

Responsibilities

  • Support A&R Administration on all department needs.
  • Handle all vendor set ups including verification and accounts.
  • Process all purchase orders, invoices, maintaining meticulous records for audit purposes.
  • Prepare producer deals, work for hires, remix agreements, and union contracts (AFM and SAG-AFTRA).
  • Scan all relevant documents into Digital filing system.
  • Assist with Royalty inquiries – externally and internally.
  • Assist in the preparation of Financial project reports for Label Roster.
  • Maintain and organize departmental records, including budgets, contracts, and correspondence as well as maintain central drive of all records.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in music administration, finance, or legal, preferably within a record label, business management or entertainment company.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and basic knowledge of music industry contracts.
  • Proficiency in proprietary systems and strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Music Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience with music industry contracts and agreements.
  • Knowledge of music industry financial processes.
  • Experience with digital document management systems.
  • Experience with royalty tracking and reporting.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of music industry contracts and financial processes.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 annually.
