Analog and Power Circuit Design Engineer
About the Role
You will be the Analog and Power Circuit Design Engineer for the Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control – RF Sub Assemblies team. Our team creates high-performance digital, RF, and microwave sub-assemblies, delivering reliable hardware that meets the toughest size, weight, power, and security requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior subject matter experts while learning and applying design, simulation, and test techniques for low-noise analog RF circuits, DC-DC converters, and LDO regulators.
- Design and develop RF analog circuitry for high-frequency, low-noise applications, including low-noise amplifiers, mixers, and filter networks.
- Create, simulate, and optimize high-efficiency DC-DC switchers and ultra-quiet LDO power supplies to meet strict SWaP (Size, Weight, and Power) targets.
- Perform schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection, prototype build, and comprehensive hardware testing.
- Develop test methods, specifications, and procedures; analyze measurement data to verify performance against requirement baselines.
- Contribute technical inputs for product development documentation and support manufacturing during assembly and test phases.
- Define and allocate functional and performance requirements for RF subsystems (LNAs, ADC/DAC chains, etc.) and associated power supply architectures.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster an inclusive, collaborative team environment that values diverse perspectives.
Requirements
- BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Good understanding of analog and power supply circuit design principles and simulation techniques.
- Some experience with analog circuit simulations using tools such as Spice, LTSpice, LTPowerCAD, or PSpice.
- Ability to test analog and power supply designs in the lab using test equipment such as bench supplies, DMMs, oscilloscopes, and electronic loads.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a Secret clearance (a company-sponsored Interim Secret is required to start).
Desired Skills
- MS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Understanding of the trade-offs between switching and LDO power supplies.
- Ability to create a power distribution diagram and maintain power analysis throughout the system.
- Experience with analog and/or power supply simulations performing Monte Carlo analysis for component tolerance and yield analysis.
- Familiarity with schematic capture tools such as Altium, Xpedition, or OrCAD, combined with experience in analog and/or power supply circuit design.
- Knowledge of board layout best practices for low-noise analog RF circuits and power supplies.
- Performed lab testing and debug of RF analog circuitry on circuit card assemblies (CCA) using bench supplies, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers.

This position is located in Chelmsford, Massachusetts.
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $79,300 – $147,300. The salary considers factors such as scope and responsibilities, candidate experience, education/training, key skills, and market considerations.
