About the role

The City of Punta Gorda seeks an AMI Technician I to monitor, maintain, and repair automatic meter infrastructure systems.

Responsibilities

• Manual re-reads (300)
• Non-payment shut offs (90)
• Turn-ons (85)
• Customer work orders – Courtesy calls, initial reads, box and lid work (50)
• AMI work orders – Error codes on MIU’s and ETR’s (50)
• New meter set-up and change outs (25)
• Troubleshooting and repair of AMI infrastructure

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate highly desirable, but not required.
• Must obtain a class “A” CDL license within six months of date of hire.
• Must acquire a FDEP Water Distribution System Operator Class 3 license within two years of date of hire.
