About the role

The Montessori Community School is expanding its reach with a new site in Monterey, CA, set to open in September 2026. This new location will offer two Nido, three Toddler, and two Primary classrooms, designed with child-centered environments in mind.

Responsibilities

• Create nurturing environments focused on children and community
• Implement the AMI Montessori philosophy
• Build and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
• Participate in whole-school events and monthly staff gatherings

Requirements

• AMI Montessori training or trainee
• A calm, nurturing presence
• A deep understanding and love for the Montessori philosophy
• A community-oriented mindset

Qualifications

• Passionate about Montessori education
• Experience working with young children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Skills

• Excellent observational and assessment skills
• Effective problem-solving abilities
• Ability to adapt to changing situations
• Strong organizational and planning skills

Pay

The Montessori Community School offers competitive compensation and a guaranteed 6% annual wage increase.

Schedule

Hours may vary based on the needs of the school, but typically include a mix of morning, afternoon, and evening shifts.
