About the role
The Montessori Community School is expanding its reach with a new site in Monterey, CA, set to open in September 2026. This new location will offer two Nido, three Toddler, and two Primary classrooms, designed with child-centered environments in mind.
Responsibilities
- Create nurturing environments focused on children and community
- Implement the AMI Montessori philosophy
- Build and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Participate in whole-school events and monthly staff gatherings
Requirements
- AMI Montessori training or trainee
- A calm, nurturing presence
- A deep understanding and love for the Montessori philosophy
- A community-oriented mindset
Qualifications
- Passionate about Montessori education
- Experience working with young children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Skills
- Excellent observational and assessment skills
- Effective problem-solving abilities

- Strong organizational and planning skills
