Part-Time Babysitter for Toddlers
About the role
We are seeking a patient and playful babysitter to care for a lively 2-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl in Portland, OR. The schedule is Wednesdays and Fridays with both children, and Mondays with just the 2-year-old. Hours are approximately 8:30 AM to 2 PM on those days.
Our ideal candidate loves outdoor activities and hands-on play, encouraging exploration while comfortably managing the different needs of two young children. We appreciate someone who can engage without relying heavily on screens, though short screen times are fine during lunch preparation or quick breaks.
Our home is animal and smoke-free, catering to the 4-year-old's nut and animal hair allergies. There are parks nearby, and our space is filled with plenty of toys and activities to keep the kids entertained.
Responsibilities
- Care for a 2-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl, adapting activities to their different needs
- Encourage outdoor play and hands-on exploration
- Minimize screen time, using it only for short breaks or during lunch preparation
- Maintain a safe, allergen-free environment (nut and animal hair allergies)
