Responsibilities

  • Perform any duties or tasks communicated by the Kitchen Manager.
  • Delegates tasks to other food service workers.
  • Fills in for the Kitchen Manager when absent.
  • Set up and breakdown serving stations in correlation to the daily menu.
  • Prepare, assemble, and replenish food and beverages.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.
  • Has positive and friendly attitude towards students, staff, fellow coworkers, and management.
  • Maintains proper personal hygiene and adheres to dress code.

Requirements

  • ServSafe Certification: Food Handler of some other Safety & Sanitation Certificate or equal standard or higher is prefered but not required.
  • Ability to adapt and work well with a changing work environment.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, push or pull heavy carts and racks daily.
  • Must be able to work in varied work environment temperatures.
  • Must be able to read, speak, write and understand English.
  • Must be able to sommunicate with the public and have good customer relation skills.
  • Must be able to follow a standardized recipe.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a food service setting preferred.
