About the role
Reynolds is seeking adjunct instructors to teach American Sign Language (ASL) on campus. This is a part-time, adjunct teaching faculty-ranked appointment. Adjunct faculty are paid a per-credit-hour rate determined by assigned rank and discipline, with hiring ranges from $819 to $1,693. Assigned rank is based on a combination of education and teaching experience.
Travel among Reynolds campuses and partner sites may be required. Telework options are available and subject to change based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Teach American Sign Language courses in-person, with potential for hybrid or online formats.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting during emergency declarations by the Governor.
Requirements
- A master’s degree in the teaching field or a master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours of coursework in the teaching field. Degrees and coursework must be from a regionally accredited institution.
- Demonstrated commitment to student engagement and inclusive teaching practices.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching in the discipline, especially at the college level.
- Experience teaching in in-person, hybrid, and online formats.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive working and learning environment.
- Familiarity with learning management systems.
