About the Role

This role involves coordinating administrative and clinical activities within an outpatient center, providing personalized patient care, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure effective treatment and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and delegate patient care and clerical duties to nursing and ancillary staff, ensuring tasks are completed effectively.
  • Conduct and document patient assessments, compile health histories, and develop discharge plans and patient education strategies.
  • Administer medications, monitor lab values for therapeutic ranges, and identify potential drug interactions.
  • Schedule, train, evaluate, and supervise staff, managing staffing coverage and recommending disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Assist in developing and managing budgets, ensuring adherence to financial plans, and analyzing budgetary data.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate policies, procedures, and quality assurance programs to promote continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a clinical resource by evaluating new equipment and procedures, and providing staff education and support.
  • Participate in fostering a positive clinical environment, role modeling best practices, and promoting clinical competence.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Nursing with current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • At least two years of recent clinical experience in a related nursing specialty.
  • Leadership experience is preferred.
