Ambulatory RN Clinic

About the Role

As a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a central figure in our patient care team, delivering exceptional, compassionate care that truly makes a difference in our patients' lives. Every day you will collaborate on comprehensive screenings, conduct critical risk assessments, provide vital preventative health education, and expertly coordinate care for diverse patient populations, leveraging technology to streamline processes. You'll ensure patients feel informed and at ease, patiently guiding them through instructions and addressing their concerns. Success in this role requires robust clinical knowledge, technological proficiency, genuine compassion, strong communication skills, and an adaptable approach to learning and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care to clinic patients, including diagnostic testing and related clinical procedures within your scope of licensure and established protocols.
• Independently triage nursing situations in accordance with standing orders/protocols; address complex, urgent, or emergent situations escalated from other clinic staff.
• Perform a variety of patient assessment/care tests (e.g., EKG, Spirometry, vision/hearing screening, peak flow, color blindness) following established protocols.
• Make independent wound assessments and perform complex wound care and dressing changes, including placement or changing of wound vacs; remove sutures or staples after Provider assessment.
• Insert and/or remove tubes, drains, urinary catheters, including removal of peripherally-inserted central catheters (PICC); apply splints/braces.
• Instruct patients in sample collection and other tests; ensure patients or families understand follow-up and referral information.
• Inform patients of lab results, call in prescriptions to pharmacies, and return practitioners’ phone messages.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State (WA).
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) - CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of RN work experience in a clinic setting or two years of acute care RN work experience.

Pay

$45.06 - $74.35 per hour.
