Ambulatory Respiratory Therapist - Pulmonary

About the role

The Ambulatory RT I provides direct care to patients and families, under the direction of a preceptor as appropriate. The position adheres to AARC Clinical Practice Guidelines and demonstrates dedication to professional growth and development, as well as the continuous improvement of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients' health needs through various methods
• Plans and implements care strategies based on assessments
• Evaluates the effectiveness of implemented care plans
• Provides direct care to patients and families
• Works under the direction of a preceptor as needed

Requirements

• Education: Associate's Degree required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Training: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
• Licensure: Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of Vermont.
• Professional Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist by the NBRC.
• Skills: Current BLS, ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience: Respiratory Therapist with 6 months experience.
