About the Role

Since 1994, BJC Medical Group has provided access to high-quality healthcare through integrated systems and nationally recognized providers. This role involves delivering direct patient care in collaboration with providers and the care team to assess, develop, and implement care plans that are clinically appropriate, high-quality, and cost-effective. The ambulatory RN also oversees clinical staff and supports providers with daily patient management.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with primary care providers (PCPs) and specialists to develop and implement care plans, maximizing healthcare outcomes and facilitating wellness with periodic reviews and updates according to department protocols.
  • Use critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate patients' physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
  • Ensure clinical protocols and patient assessment guidelines are followed in accordance with standard operating procedures and compliance guidelines.
  • Support providers in appropriately documenting patient assessments and treatment protocols in compliance with standards.
  • Provide patient education and support, including verbal and written instructions; assess the patient’s and/or family’s ability to receive education using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrate initiative in problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position; the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is essential.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing.
  • 2-5 years of nursing experience.
  • No supervisory experience required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • RN licensure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • 5-10 years of nursing experience.
