Ambulatory Pharmacy Operations Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Pharmacist team with patient care coordination and scheduling of referrals.
  • Answers incoming pharmacy-related telephone calls, emails, chat messages and faxes.
  • Addresses pharmacy-related gaps in care with patients and escalates patient issues to the pharmacist.
  • Assists with prior authorizations.
  • Performs duties under protocol.
  • Supports general pharmacy-related issue resolution under the guidance and direction of Pharmacists.

Requirements

  • Completed coursework in Medical Terminology or has working knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  • California Pharmacy Technician License upon hire.
  • 2 years Pharmacy Technician experience.

Qualifications

  • EMR or IDX experience preferred.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel and Data Management preferred.
