Ambulatory Pharmacy Operations Coordinator

About the role

Under direct supervision of management, this position is responsible for supporting the Pharmacist team. Responsibilities include patient care coordination and scheduling of referrals, answering incoming pharmacy-related telephone calls, emails, chat messages and faxes, addressing pharmacy-related gaps in care with patients and escalating patient issues to the pharmacist, assisting with prior authorizations, performing duties under protocol, and supporting general pharmacy-related issue resolution under the guidance and direction of Pharmacists.

Responsibilities

• Patient care coordination and scheduling of referrals
• Answering incoming pharmacy-related telephone calls, emails, chat messages and faxes
• Addressing pharmacy-related gaps in care with patients and escalating patient issues to the pharmacist
• Aiding with prior authorizations
• Performing duties under protocol
• Supporting general pharmacy-related issue resolution under the guidance and direction of Pharmacists

Requirements

Coursework/Training: Completed coursework in Medical Terminology or has working knowledge of Medical Terminology.
Upon hire: California Pharmacy Technician License.
2 years Pharmacy Technician experience.

Qualifications

• EMR or IDX experience
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel and Data Management

Pay

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
