About the role
The Ambulatory Nurse is a nursing staff position that reports to the Clinic Supervisor. This role performs treatments, administers medications, and assists with procedures performed without anesthesia while utilizing aseptic technique. The nurse assists with employee education and orientation, provides patient and family education, and involves family or significant others in planning health care and health decisions with the goal of improving health outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Perform treatments and administer medications.
- Assist with procedures performed without anesthesia using aseptic technique.
- Provide patient and family education to improve health outcomes.
- Involve family or significant others in health care planning and decisions.
- Delegate and evaluate health care to assistive personnel following the hospital plan for nursing.
- Recognize and advocate for each patient as an individual with unique health care needs.
- Provide considerate, respectful care affirming the patient’s right to make decisions regarding their medical care.
Requirements
- Commitment to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing within 5 years of hire.
- Graduation from an accredited program of nursing.
- Registered Nursing license in the State of Ohio.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8-hour days with varying hours.
