Job Summary
The Ambulatory Nurse is a nursing staff position that reports to the Clinic Supervisor. This role involves performing treatments, administering medications, assisting procedures performed without anesthesia while utilizing aseptic technique, assisting with employee education and orientation, and providing patient/family education.
Responsibilities
- Performs treatments and administers medications
- Aids in procedures performed without anesthesia using aseptic technique
- Affords patient/family education to improve health outcomes
- Involves family/significant others in health care planning and decision-making
- Delegates and evaluates health care tasks to assistive personnel according to the hospital’s nursing plan
- Recognizes and advocates for each patient’s unique health care needs
- Provides considerate, respectful care that respects patients’ rights to make decisions about their medical care
Requirements
- Commitment to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing within 5 years of hire
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Registered Nursing license in the State of Ohio
