Ambulatory Nurse II for Orthopedics- Triage - Hand Division

The Penn Medicine Orthopedic surgery team is seeking an ambulatory triage nurse to join the orthopedic hand division. The nurse will assist in coordinating care for orthopedic patients while triaging calls and Penn Medicine emails, along with other responsibilities. The position is based out of the University City location and will eventually become a hybrid role.

Responsibilities

• Leadership: The nurse effectively collaborates and applies innovative, systems thinking to engage in systematic, evidence-based problem solving and decision making to promote effective changes within a complex care delivery system supporting the vision of Penn Medicine.
• Informatics/Technology: The nurse utilizes appropriate information and technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support decision making across the continuum.
• Teamwork: The nurse effectively engages in the process of cooperation, coordination, and collaboration in an effort to provide for safe, quality outcomes for patients within inter and intra-professional teams, including virtual teams.
• Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI): The nurse utilizes data and QI methods to identify potential and actual problems and opportunities to provide care that is safe, timely, efficient, effective, and equitable.

Requirements

• RN with state licensure RN (Required). If providing telehealth (video or phone) or direct patient care to individuals residing outside Pennsylvania, the employee must obtain and maintain an appropriate multistate compact license or individual state licenses as required prior to service delivery (Required).
• BLS/ACLS/PALS per specialty (Required).
• Certification in specialty (Preferred).
• Education or Equivalent Experience: Diploma or ASN from an accredited school of nursing And more than 15 months of relevant professional nursing experience. (Required).
• Bachelor's Degree BSN from an accredited school of nursing And more than 15 months relevant professional nursing experience. (Preferred).
