Ambulatory Nurse II

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and integrates best current evidence with clinical expertise and patient and family preferences and values for the delivery of optimal health care and system effectiveness.
  • Maintains safety by minimizing risk of harm to patients, families, providers and self through system effectiveness and individual performance.
  • Demonstrates professionalism by committing to the nursing profession through lifelong learning, adhering to ANA’s Code of Ethics for Nurses, participating in a professional organization, and advancing community outreach.
  • Fulfills person and family centered care by recognizing the patient (or the patient’s designee) as the source of control and a full partner in providing compassionate and coordinated care based on respect for the patient’s preferences, values, and needs.
  • Exhibits leadership by effectively collaborating and applying innovative, systems thinking to engage in systematic, evidence-based problem solving and decision making to promote effective changes within a complex care delivery system supporting the vision of Penn Medicine.
  • Leverages informatics/technology by utilizing appropriate information and technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support decision making across the continuum.
  • Engages in teamwork by effectively engaging in the process of cooperation, coordination, and collaboration in an effort to provide for safe, quality outcomes for patients within inter and intra-professional teams, including virtual teams.
  • Utilizes continuous quality improvement (CQI) by utilizing data and QI methods to identify potential and actual problems and opportunities to provide care that is safe, timely, efficient, effective, and equitable.

Qualifications

  • BLS/ACLS/PALS; per specialty (Required)
  • Registered Nurse - NJ (Required)
  • RN Required with state licensure. If providing telehealth (video or phone) or direct patient care to individuals residing outside Pennsylvania, the employee must obtain and maintain an appropriate multistate compact license or individual state licenses as required prior to service delivery.
  • Associates- Nursing from an accredited school of nursing (Required)
  • Bachelor of Science- Nursing (Preferred)
  • More than 15 months relevant professional nursing experience (Required)

Pay

$62,400.00 - $145,600.00/Annually based on 40 hours per week
