Ambulatory Nurse - Gastroenterology

About the role

The ambulatory nurse provides direct patient care in an outpatient setting, collaborating with healthcare providers to develop and implement care plans that ensure high-quality, cost-effective outcomes. They assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, support providers with documentation, and deliver patient education using appropriate tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with PCPs and specialists to optimize care plans
• Evaluating patient needs and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols
• Supporting documentation and compliance standards
• Providing patient education and support, assessing their understanding
• Maintaining safety and alertness as a safety-sensitive role

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree in Nursing
• 2-5 years of relevant experience
• RN license and BLS certification

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing and 5-10 years of experience
