Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational oversight and leadership for the ambulatory application portfolio.
  • Partner with internal supervisory and IT leadership to prioritize operational and implementation work.
  • Support governance, strategic planning, and decision-making for Epic Phase II implementation.
  • Facilitate coordination across application teams, operational stakeholders, and project leadership.
  • Assist in workload prioritization, issue escalation, and resource planning.
  • Mentor and provide technical and operational guidance to analysts and project leads.
  • Support development of operational processes, application ownership, and team coordination.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience leading Epic Ambulatory application teams in a healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated experience balancing operational support with large-scale Epic implementation efforts.
  • Prominent ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Expertise in Epic Ambulatory and related applications such as Healthy Planet, MyChart, and Wisdom.
  • Experience providing operational leadership for teams supporting Epic clinical applications.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience supporting Epic clinical applications with progressive leadership responsibilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, Nursing, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

  • Demonstrated success leading Epic implementation, optimization, and operational initiatives.
  • Experience collaborating with executive leadership, operational leaders, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Epic certification(s) in Ambulatory and related applications.
  • Experience mentoring staff and fostering collaboration without direct personnel authority.

The role requires on-site presence 3 6 days per month in South San Francisco, CA, with travel expenses reimbursed under the applicable agreement terms. A laptop and monitor will be provided for this assignment.
