Ambulatory Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation – Procedural Suite Position – Registered Nurse 2, Outpatient

About the role

The University of Rochester Orthopaedic Procedural Suite at Marketplace Mall offers a full‑time, day‑shift position (40 hours per week) in a fast‑paced environment. The role involves direct patient care for patients of all ages receiving local anesthesia for spinal injections, minor hand‑based procedures, osteoporosis infusion therapy, pre‑ and post‑surgery assessments, circulating and documenting during procedures, and pre‑ and post‑procedure education. Additional opportunities include Tenex, Cooleaf, RFA, and PRP procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent direct patient care based on established standards.
• Contribute to unit activities and support enhancement of the care delivery system.
• Assist peers in delivering patient care services and may assume charge nurse, preceptor, or committee responsibilities.
• Care for patients of all ages using local anesthesia for spinal injections, minor hand‑based procedures, osteoporosis infusion therapy.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑surgery assessments.
• Circulate and document during procedures.
• Provide pre‑ and post‑procedure education.
• Assist with Tenex, Cooleaf, RFA, and PRP procedures.

Requirements

• Strong IV skills.
• Ability to work in a very fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.
• Demonstration of ICARE values.
• Prior experience in surgical or pre‑post anesthesia is preferred.

Pay

Compensation range: $38.76 – $52.33 per hour.

Schedule

Full‑time, 40 scheduled weekly hours, day shift (UR - Day).
