About the role
In this role, you will support a teenager with special education needs at a school for special education in Zuidoost-Friesland. You ensure the student remains engaged in the educational process and participates in group activities. You help facilitate the learning process, assist with handling challenges, tensions, and structure. You create a safe environment for the student to develop.
Responsibilities
- Be presentable and reliable, creating a calm and emotionally secure atmosphere.
- Use a predictable and consistent approach.
- Have relevant experience: working at a school and/or in child-behavioral guidance for children with developmental disabilities.
- Be confident in your abilities: physically resilient and able to adapt quickly to unexpected situations.
- Make keen observations: recognize signals and triggers promptly and try to prevent escalations.
- Have a relevant education: completed MBO level 4 or HBO.

- SKJ registration is preferred but not mandatory.
- You are willing to register if you haven't done so yet.
