Ambulant begeleider onderwijs (Zuidoost-Friesland)

About the role

In this role, you will support a teenager with special education needs at a school for special education in Zuidoost-Friesland. You ensure the student remains engaged in the educational process and participates in group activities. You help facilitate the learning process, assist with handling challenges, tensions, and structure. You create a safe environment for the student to develop.

Responsibilities

• Be presentable and reliable, creating a calm and emotionally secure atmosphere.
• Use a predictable and consistent approach.
• Have relevant experience: working at a school and/or in child-behavioral guidance for children with developmental disabilities.
• Be confident in your abilities: physically resilient and able to adapt quickly to unexpected situations.
• Make keen observations: recognize signals and triggers promptly and try to prevent escalations.
• Have a relevant education: completed MBO level 4 or HBO.

Requirements

• SKJ registration is preferred but not mandatory.
• You are willing to register if you haven't done so yet.
