Amazon Spheres - Understory Ambassador

Responsibilities
Customer Experience
- Verbally greet and welcome all visitors in a friendly, warm, and professional manner, providing a 5-star first impression.
- Facilitate educational activities and crafts while maintaining a tidy and organized space.
- Answer questions about The Spheres exhibits and promote visitor engagement related to the concepts, designs, and themes of The Spheres.
- Provide information about The Amazon Campus, nearby dining options, and other Seattle landmarks.
- Communicate clearly and warmly with visitors of all backgrounds and ages.
- Foster positive working relationships with Spheres team members and stakeholders.
- Assist in resolving guest escalations, involving leadership as needed.
Daily Operations
- Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of exhibits and installations through research and meetings.
- Facilitate the opening and closing of the Understory, ensuring all tasks are completed before public hours begin or end.
- Track metrics as directed by leadership.
- Maintain tidiness and organization of the space.
- Monitor supply inventory and escalate requests to leadership.
- Create informational and wayfinding signage and materials upon request.
- Immediately communicate escalations to leadership; call security if necessary.
- Attend and actively participate in all scheduled meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
- Report suspicious persons, calls, or packages to Amazon Corporate Security, NWC supervisors, and Amazon Global Real Estate and Facilities.
- Report facility and exhibit issues to NWC leadership as they arise.
- Assist with new tasks, processes, or projects to support evolving team requirements and Amazon partners; embrace adaptability as business needs shift.

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.

- Understand, interpret, and follow Amazon’s policies and procedures.
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Practice confidentiality without exception.
- Proficiency with MS Windows, Excel, and Outlook email.
- Strong conflict resolution, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work in a changing environment.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
- Stand for long periods, potentially the entire length of the shift.
- Work in humidity and temperature conditions optimized for plant life (70–75°F with average humidity of 60%).
- Adhere to dress code and maintain conscientious personal hygiene.
- Note: The space contains various plant life; individuals with plant allergies may not be the best fit.
- Speak consistently with visitors, staff, and colleagues for the duration of each shift.
- Walk consistently within a 1.5-mile radius, including stairs, while roving the space and assisting customers.
- Frequently carry and lift items up to 50 pounds.
- May need to transport supplies to other buildings.
- Work in a dog-friendly environment with over 1,000 dogs on campus; individuals with dog allergies or discomfort around dogs may not be the best fit.

$22.95 per hour.
Schedule
Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 1:15 PM – 6:15 PM.
