Responsibilities

  • Contribute to research that bridges the gap between theoretical advancement and practical implementation in robotics.
  • Participate in a team that's revolutionizing how robots learn, adapt, and interact with their environment.
  • Develop and implement systems that enable unprecedented generalization across diverse tasks.
  • Design and integrate systems that enable contact-rich manipulation in different environments.
  • Create systems that seamlessly integrate mobility and manipulation.
  • Pioneering the development of systems leveraging mechanical intelligence, multi-modal sensor feedback, and advanced control techniques.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, Machine Learning, Operations Research, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • At least 1 year of relevant academic research or industry experience within Robotics, Manipulation, Dexterous Manipulation, Locomotion, Human-Robot Interaction, Controls, Mechanical Design, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Optimization, Perception, Motion Planning, Autonomous Navigation, Software (high-level and embedded) for robotic systems, or related.
  • Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or related.

Qualifications

  • Are 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be eligible for and available for full-time (40 hours per week) internship in person based out of the assigned office location for the whole duration of the internship/co-op.

Skills

  • Strong algorithm development experience.
  • A working knowledge of analysis of algorithms and computational complexity.
  • Familiarity with state-of-the-art algorithms in field of expertise.
  • Excellent creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.

Pay

The base pay for this position ranges from $65.38/hr in our lowest geographic market up to $107.40/hr in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Schedule

This role requires a full-time (40 hours per week) internship in person based out of the assigned office location for the whole duration of the internship/co-op.
