About the role

Maintains an efficient and courteous restaurant operation by greeting arriving customers, seating them, establishing rapport, and assisting with service. Receives and processes payments accurately, ensuring smooth transactions and providing clear change. Assists servers by circulating through the restaurant, addressing customer needs, and reporting any issues to management. Manages cash and reconciles reports to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and seat them promptly
• Issue menus and solicit customer requests
• Assign sections and notify servers of new seats
• Process payments and verify accuracy of guest checks
• Elicit feedback from customers and distribute checks
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining the restaurant

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a position with heavy cash handling and customer service
• Mathematical aptitude and knowledge of cash handling procedures
• Basic customer service and food service knowledge

Skills

• Verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle coins, writing utensils, and lift up to 10 lbs
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift
