AM Bistro Bartender l Part Time

This position is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests in the Courtyard Bistro in an efficient and courteous manner, while adhering to all health regulations and local liquor laws. Assists with food orders, preparation, and serving as needed to meet guest needs.

Responsibilities

• Promote the Bistro and take beverage orders while following CSM/Marriott’s quality standards to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Greet all guests courteously and deliver the highest level of service.
• Accurately and quickly take, enter, prepare, and deliver guest orders according to standards.
• Operate the micros system, cash register, and follow cash handling/POS procedures for accurate guest check closing.
• Dispense appropriate levels of alcohol and prepare drinks to recipe and brand standards.
• Monitor guests’ consumption of alcoholic beverages and check IDs to comply with state and local liquor laws.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, including disposal of garbage, restocking barware, clearing tables, and transferring items to the dish room.
• Assist with washing barware/dishes and maintaining sanitation in the Bistro, kitchen, and dish room.
• Complete required paperwork, inventory par sheets, and side work accurately and on time.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures and CSM/Marriott protocols for guest/associate incidents.
• Take initiative to assist wherever necessary to meet guest needs.

Requirements

• One year of prior serving, customer service, or bartending experience.
• Ability to speak, understand, and write English to meet guest needs and complete required paperwork.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, repetitious environment.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Bartender certification preferred; TIPS or CARE beverage service certification desired (or ability to obtain).

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the shift.

Pay

$18.00 USD per hour
