Alumni Manager
About the Role
The Alumni Manager owns the strategy and execution of Brooklyn Ascend High School alumni persistence and completion outcomes. This role ensures that graduates not only matriculate to postsecondary pathways but also persist and complete them. The Alumni Manager operates as a data-driven program leader, building systems, partnerships, and interventions that drive measurable alumni success.
Core Responsibilities
Analyze alumni data to identify trends, risks, and gaps; translate insights into targeted action plans
Provide regular, action-oriented updates to Pathways leadership on alumni progress and key levers
Manage a caseload of alumni with differentiated support based on level of need
Conduct consistent outreach and interventions to ensure accountability and progress
Maintain strong relationships with alumni through structured and strategic communication
Advise alumni on course selection, major decisions, academic standing, and long-term planning
Support financial aid processes, including renewals, appeals, and scholarship opportunities
Guide alumni through transfer processes when appropriate
Connect alumni to campus resources and ensure utilization of support systems
Maintain accurate and up-to-date alumni data systems, including enrollment status, GPA, and persistence indicators
Track all outreach, interventions, and outcomes to ensure visibility and accountability
Build systems that enable efficient monitoring of alumni progress and program effectiveness
Build and maintain relationships with college staff, including advisors, financial aid officers, and support program personnel
Advocate for alumni by leveraging institutional partnerships
Identify and share external opportunities, including internships, summer programs, and career pathways
Plan and execute alumni programming such as Alumni Days, workshops, and communications campaigns
Develop systems to maintain strong alumni engagement and connection to the school
Ensure consistent and high-quality communication with alumni and families
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree in education, counseling, or a related field preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in college counseling, alumni support, or postsecondary advising
- Demonstrated success supporting students through college persistence and completion
- Strong data management and analysis skills

Compensation
The salary for this position begins at $70,000. Salaries are determined using an equitable compensation scale that accounts for years of experience and levels of attained education.

This is a full-time, in-person role requiring daily presence on campus and participation in school-wide programming and faculty collaboration.
