About the role
The candidate will support students in an alternative learning environment at Killingly Intermediate and Killingly High School.
Responsibilities
- Tutor students in grades 7-12 within a small group setting
- Coordinate and communicate with regular and special education teachers, as well as school counselors and administrators
- Report to school administration as well as district administration
Requirements
- Experience tutoring students in grades 7-12 within a small group environment
- Understanding of adolescent development, social and emotional learning, and positive behavior supports
Qualifications
- Knowledge of educational best practices and student support strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills

Benefits
- 10-month position with benefits
Pay
- $36.05/hr.
Schedule
- Monday-Friday, 7.25 hours per day following the school academic calendar
