Alternative Suspension Liaison

About the role

The candidate will support students in an alternative learning environment at Killingly Intermediate and Killingly High School.

Responsibilities

• Tutor students in grades 7-12 within a small group setting
• Coordinate and communicate with regular and special education teachers, as well as school counselors and administrators
• Report to school administration as well as district administration

Requirements

• Experience tutoring students in grades 7-12 within a small group environment
• Understanding of adolescent development, social and emotional learning, and positive behavior supports

Qualifications

• Knowledge of educational best practices and student support strategies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills

Benefits

• 10-month position with benefits

Pay

• $36.05/hr.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 7.25 hours per day following the school academic calendar
