About the role
The BUUSD is seeking an Alternative Program Administrator to lead Spaulding Educational Alternatives, an Alternative High School.
Responsibilities
- Supports the coordination of all special education services for students currently enrolled at the SEA program and in out of district alternative programs.
- Supports the district Director in identifying new practices, programs and requirements and developing creative proposals and solutions for improved services provided by district run programs.
- Ensures that staff comply with all applicable State and Federal regulations and laws.
- Ensures that proper reporting, accountability procedures and all required activities are carried out.
- Oversees the hiring and supervision of building based staff providing special education services within the SEA program.
Qualifications
- Must hold or be qualified for Vermont endorsement 3-91 (Principal) or Vermont endorsement 3-86 (Director of Special Education).
- At least 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Master's degree preferred.
